In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today it's Stefan Schaub's turn. He starts with us as a data engineer - in this interview he tells us what drove him to join, what his background is and how he likes to spend his life outside of work.

What position will you take on at AT?

I am employed as a data engineer at [at].

How did you become aware of AT?

The job was suggested to me by LinkedIn.

Why did you choose AT?

After finding out about the company on the [at] homepage, I read through reviews on Kununu. That had convinced me.

What are you looking forward to the most?

Project work -> I look forward to the diversity of the different projects.

Expertise -> I want to draw as much knowledge as possible from the work

What did you do before?

Cybersecurity. More specifically, the classification of network traffic

Where were you born and raised?

In the Thuringian Forest in Ilmenau. This is near Oberhof

What do you do in your spare time?

Family! After that comes family and, if there is still time, sport (weight training, basketball), motorcycling and snowboarding.

What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?

Ireland! The landscape is sensational. The people are super-friendly and the beer tastes good too!
