#InsideAT - Our new working student Alexander Fottner

In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today it's Alexander Fottner's turn. He is starting with us as a student trainee - in this interview he tells us what drove him to join, what his background is and how he likes to spend his life outside of work.

Which position are you taking on at AT?

I will be working here as a student trainee for the next 6 months.

How did you hear about AT come to your attention? 

Through my Master's degree in statistics at LMU, I inevitably became aware of AT as the first pure German data science consultancy.

Why did you Why did you choose AT?

AT's mission to use data science to add value to Germany is quite similar to my mission to take away people's fear of AI and show the potential for good behind it.

What are you are you looking forward to the most?

To work with my team on exciting data science issues and create added value through data!

What did you done before?

Previously, I completed an internship at KPMG in the field of Digital Finance Consulting and was a Master student 😉

Where were you born and raised?

I was born in Dachau and grew up in Ampermoching.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I prefer to spend time with my fiancée and read personality-building literature.

What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?

My best trip was a 7-week trip to Australia with my fiancée. The destination I would definitely like to travel to is Japan.

What is your favourite film?

The Greatest Showman

What was the last book you read?

The principle of self-responsibility

What was your dream job as a child?

Professional footballer

What used to be your favourite subject at school?


What could you definitely not do without in your travel suitcase?


What would you get up for in the middle of the night?

For my family.
