von | 19 November 2021 | #InsideAT

In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today it's Marina Rubio López's turn. She is joining us as a marketing student trainee. In this interview, she tells us what drove her to join us, what her background is and how she likes to spend her life outside of work.

What position will you take on at [at]?

My current position is a working student in the Marketing & Events department.

How did you find out about [at]?

I found the job on Linkedin and then I applied on the website.

Why did you choose [at]?

Because I will also help organise events, and I was impressed by the good atmosphere.

What are you looking forward to the most?

I hope that I can put into practice what I am currently learning in the degree programme, learn a lot and take on responsibility.

What did you do before?

I did an apprenticeship in Spain in the field of administration and finance. I also did a 9-month internship in the purchasing department of a company. When I came to Germany, I worked as a salesperson and then did another Erasmus internship. After that I stayed in the quality department of this company and last year I started studying. Now I am also employed here at AT ?

Where were you born and raised?

I was born in Madrid (Spain) and grew up in Alcobendas (a town near Madrid).

What do you do in your spare time?

Now I don't have much time (study + work) but I like to meet friends or do sports. I'm doing boxing right now. I also like walking and hiking. I also love to travel.

What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?

The destinations that have impressed me the most are Morocco and Kenya. I still want to travel to Eastern Europe.

What was your dream job as a child?

I wanted to be a psychiatrist, but then I became more interested in finance and economics.

What was the last book you read?

"El día que se perdió el amor. Second book in a bilogy by a Spanish writer. It is a thriller with lots of action and intrigue. Highly recommended.
