Munich start-up already top employer in Europe

European Business Awards - The data science consultancy Alexander Thamm GmbH now officially belongs to the elite of the European business world: As one of eleven winners, the Munich-based start-up was honoured for the second time at the "European Business Awardsaward". They were able to convince the expert jury in the category "workplace and human resources development".

The European Business Awards aim to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community in Europe. To this end, the best companies in 34 countries are awarded every year.

This year, Alexander Thamm GmbH was once again among the German winners and received the "Award for Workplace and Personnel Development". They were able to convince with their corporate culture, the working atmosphere and the collegiality among the employees.

"With us, every employee can contribute his or her own ideas and take on responsibility at an early stage. In addition, you can continue your education regularly with the help of training courses and online courses," explains Managing Director Alexander Thamm. "Because the secret of our success is in our great team." In their new office with a view over the city of Munich to the Alps, there is a fitness room, foosball, flexible working hours and regular team events.

"Corporate culture is often underestimated - but it is a decisive success factor for a company. Satisfied employees are motivated and therefore more productive," says Susanne Wolf, Chief Human Resources Officer. "Our employees are our most important asset."

Last year, the Munich-based start-up already won in the category "Business of the Year 0-25 million". Each of the national winners will take part in the finals of the awards in May, where the overall European winners will be announced:

Alexander Thamm founded his eponymous GmbH in Munich in 2012. The company is the leading data science consultancy in Germany and currently employs 70 people at two locations. Alexander Thamm GmbH takes on the collection, analysis, evaluation and visualisation of data and builds recommendations for action for companies on this basis. Among its clients are half of the DAX 30 companies, including BMW, VW and E.ON.


Michaela Tiedemann

Michaela Tiedemann has been part of the Alexander Thamm GmbH team since the early start-up days. She has actively shaped the development from a fast-moving, spontaneous start-up to a successful company. With the founding of her own family, a whole new chapter began for Michaela Tiedemann at the same time. Hanging up her job, however, was out of the question for the new mother. Instead, she developed a strategy to reconcile her job as Chief Marketing Officer with her role as a mother.
