[Challenge]

The challenge for a German direct bank was to analyse its customer groups in terms of their product activity and socio-demographic attributes in order to determine cross- and up-selling potentials. For this purpose, dependencies between the different financial products had to be identified.

[Solution]

We brought together various data sources for our client and created a Customer Insights Dashboard using QlikView. The dashboard offers a variety of levels of granularity to provide in-depth analysis for customers. The dashboard includes:

  • An overview of the KPIs for selected products
  • Uncovering the correlations between products
  • Comparison of two customer groups with regard to their socio-demographic data and product behaviour
  • Ability to jump to detailed product dashboards for in-depth analysis

We developed a data integration strategy for our client to integrate all relevant data sources into the dashboard. The dashboard was designed to be easy to use and yet very meaningful. It provides a user-friendly interface that allows the client to easily analyse and understand their data.

The dashboard is able to display the most important KPIs for product usage and customer analysis. This makes it possible to quickly and easily identify valuable customer groups. The dashboard also reveals product dependencies and identifies cross- and upselling potentials. In addition, customers can jump to detailed product dashboards with one click to gain even deeper insights into their data.

[Result]

Thanks to the Customer Insights Dashboard we created, our direct bank was able to quickly and easily identify valuable customer groups and determine their cross- and upselling potential. The dashboard also uncovered product dependencies that enabled the client to optimise its marketing and sales strategies and thus increase its revenue.

[Challenge]

A German bank was faced with the challenge of avoiding fraud at an early stage in the course of introducing a new credit product. [Challenge]

The bank's previous method of calculating customer lifetime value was inadequate and a fixed monetary value was attributed to each customer. The activity of the customer was not taken into account, which led to an inaccurate calculation of the customer lifetime value.

[Solution]

We partnered with the bank to combine different data sources and integrate customer activity into the existing Customer Lifetime Value calculation. Customer types were identified and classified into five categories using clustering in R. The interactive visualisation of the customer journey was illustrated in a D3 Sankey diagram.

Our data analytics and AI expertise enabled us to increase the accuracy of the Customer Lifetime Value by including the customer's activity in the calculation. Through the Sankey diagram, customer activity could be presented in an interactive visualisation, which made it easier for the bank to gain insights into the customer journey.

[Result]

Our collaboration with the bank led to a significant increase in the accuracy of the Customer Lifetime Value. By integrating customer activity into the calculation, the bank was able to gain sound insights into customer behaviour and make informed decisions for the future.

Challenge

After natural disasters, an insurance company wants to quickly and cost-effectively assess the damage to its insured buildings. This requires an infrastructure that can process a large amount of image material in a timely manner. In addition, a model must be developed that allows the prediction for different building types and regions.

Solution

Various machine learning models are developed, evaluated and made available. These are the basis for automatic damage detection. A pipeline is built in the Amazon AWS Cloud that seamlessly integrates both the model training and the productive use of the results. Due to the complete integration of all processes in the AWS infrastructure, the product is scalable and can be automatically adapted to the current demand in a cost-efficient manner during idle and load times.

Result

The models can be trained and adapted in a scalable pipeline. Via an API, the results can be used for a wide range of applications for automatic damage detection. Damage classification makes it easier to estimate payout amounts and initiate payout processes automatically.
