In order to continue our growth course, we are looking for with immediate effect at one of our locations for an experienced Senior Data Engineer Inhouse (m/f/d)who is responsible for the operation and further development of our internal data platform.

Your tasks

Data and AI are your home? Furthermore, your new challenge will be as follows:

  • Responsibility for the operation, maintenance and continuous further development of our internal Data platform 
  • Design, implementation and optimisation of scalable Data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Management of Databasesespecially PostgreSQL, to ensure optimum performance and availability
  • Integration of Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Functions and REST APIs for data processing and integration
  • Development and implementation of authentication processes and security measures in collaboration with our security team
  • Further development of the data platform as the basis for our internal reporting and connection of further source systems and applications to the platform

Your profile

Data is also in your DNA? That's what you should bring with you:

  • Successfully completed studies in business informatics, computer science or comparable qualifications
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of data engineering or comparable
  • Experience with ETL pipelinesData warehouse and data lake technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL databases and administration
  • Very good knowledge of programming languages Python (ideally including PySpark), SQL and knowledge in DevOps (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Git)
  • Experience with the Azure Cloud (Data Factory/Synapse, Azure Functions, ADLS) and REST API integration
  • Knowledge of authentication processes and security measures as well as experience with Azure Key Vault/Microsoft Entra ID or comparable security solutions
  • Ability to work in a team and desire to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  • High sense of responsibility and Reliability paired with a hands-on mentality
  • Good communication skills with fluent German and English skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an understandable way
