In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today it's Marsida Toska's turn. She is starting with us as a data science trainee - in this interview she tells us what drove her to join, what her background is and how she likes to spend her life outside of work.

How did you find out about [at]?
I was looking for a hands-on challenge in the field of Data Science.
Why did you choose [at]?
The specialisation in data and AI was crucial for me, as well as the very positive profile of the company.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I'm really looking forward to working on exciting data/AI projects, meeting great colleagues and developing myself further.
What did you do before?
I completed a Master's degree in Natural Language Processing at Uppsala University in Sweden, did an internship in the field, and also worked with it briefly afterwards.
Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Albania and grew up in Greece from the age of 11.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love to read, write, exercise, experiment with cooking, explore new places with friends and much more depending on my mood.
What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?
Edinburgh, Scotland, where I spent my Erasmus year. I fell in love with this city and made only good memories. I haven't been outside Europe yet and I would like to visit Latin America first, maybe Chile first.
What was your dream job as a child?
Doctor. Even later, Dr. House was my favourite series.
What is your favourite film / series?
I love old classics. If I had to choose just one film, it would be Brief Encounter, by David Lean, the director of Lawrence of Arabia.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
Passionate, curious, talkative, open.
What was the last book you read?
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë.
What would you get up for in the middle of the night?
For everything that would be a unique experience.
