In our#InsideAT series we regularly presentnew employees. Today it's Leonie Kreuser's turn. She is starting with us as a Data Science trainee - in this interview she tells us what drove her to join, what her background is and how she likes to spend her life outside of work.
What position will you take on at AT?
I start as a Data Science trainee at AT.
How did you become aware of AT?
Through a fellow student who made me aware of the trainee programme.
Why did you choose AT?
I chose AT because the trainee programme offers me many opportunities to get to know different tasks in the field of data science and to develop myself further through training and education. I was also immediately convinced by the open and friendly corporate culture.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I look forward to exciting projects and working with motivated colleagues from whom I can learn a lot. I'm also looking forward to winding down after work on the beautiful roof terrace with a view over Munich.
What did you do before?
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and my Master's degree in Business Information Systems at the University of Regensburg. During my Master's degree, I spent a semester abroad in London. I gained practical experience through various internships in consultancies and industry and also worked at the Chair of Business Informatics.
Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in Munich. After a detour to beautiful Regensburg to study, I have now returned home.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my free time, I love meeting family and friends, doing sports and being creative. In winter, I love to go skiing. I also always like to join a games evening.
What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?
During my semester abroad, I went on a trip to Scotland and was thrilled by the beautiful landscape and the friendly people. I would definitely like to go there again. I would also like to travel to Romania again and visit different cities there.
What was your dream job as a child?
When I was a child, I wanted to be a cook or a pastry chef because I always loved baking and trying out new recipes.
What used to be your favourite subject at school?
Sports (unless it was ball sports, I was never very good at that) and mathematics.
