In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today it's Philippvon Mengersen's turn. He starts with us as a Visiting Data Engineer - in this interview he tells us what drove him to join, what his background is and how he likes to spend his life outside of work.
What position will you take on at AT?
I am a working student and supported in the area of Data Architecture & Engineering.
How did you become aware of AT?
I looked around on the job market for a suitable position, discovered the job advertisement and applied without further ado.
Why did you choose AT?
AT seemed inviting, modern and innovative. I had the impression that I could learn something there.
What are you looking forward to the most?
Working on exciting projects with my team
What did you do before?
I am studying computer science in Leipzig and have been working on machine processing of natural language. When an interested party became aware of our project work on pictogram languages, I joined the team and helped develop a pictogram translator.

Munich, Sendling
What do you do in your spare time?
Swimming, reading, drawing
What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?
I have been to France many times. I would love to go to Japan one day!

Astronaut
