7.5 million litres of beer were served to over 6 million visitors at the Oktoberfest 2018 - and Alexander Thamm GmbH was of course there. As genuine Munich company the employees at the world's largest folk festival are of course not to be missed. As in previous years, almost all of the AT staff after a very entertaining working day in style in dirndl and lederhosen at the Theresienwiese for the Wiesn-Gaudi 2018.
Wiesn party in the Schützenzelt
Punctually at lunchtime, the meeting point is in front of the SchützenzeltThe sun is shining, the costumes are on and the anticipation is rising. Let's go! A total of 8 box tables are available to AT employees this year for a cosy get-together and exuberant celebrations. To get the Wiesn party off to the best possible start, the first thing on the agenda is to fortify yourself with a genuine Bavarian snack platter. Of course, the obligatory "Maß" (litre) is not to be missed as a culinary complement to the snack.
Especially our many new colleagues enjoy the Exchange in a relaxed atmosphere with tasty food and hearty beer. As a networking event par excellence, the Oktoberfest is the ideal opportunity to get into conversation with all (new) employees and enjoy the exuberant atmosphere in the Schützenzelt together.
Let's go on - Volksfest feeling with rides and dream weather
A few measures and traders later, the colleagues meet at the Shooting range in front of the shooting tent: The annual group photo at the shooting range must not be missed this year! Even though it was a challenge to get all employees on the photo this year due to our now almost 100 employees, we somehow managed to do it.
After this important programme item, we move on and it's: Follow the unicorn! In keeping with the times, our CEO Alexander Thamm got himself a unicorn helium balloon so as not to lose anyone on the way. First we take on the challenge of the maze together - not so easy at this late hour - but a great way to get to know the unicorn in the Team to look for the right way.
For the right But there is definitely still one ride missing to give the festival that "Volksfest" feeling: the bumper cars.. In groups of two, the AT team takes off. Fortunately, we don't have any bumper car accidents this year either.
An end is far from in sight
After so much action we first recover in the Beer garden. A cool beer quickly calms the heated tempers caused by the sporting competition on the bumper cars. The weather is still fantastic and so we chat in a "griabiger" [for all non-Bavarians: "gemütlicher"] beer garden atmosphere.
For those who had not yet had enough Wiesn fun, there was a 1A-After-Wiesn Event at Heart, an exclusive club in the heart of Munich and the ideal location to let this exuberant day come to an end together with colleagues.
