In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today it's Maximilian Mandl's turn. He is starting with us as a working student - in this interview he tells us what drove him to join, what his background is and how he likes to spend his life outside of work.
What position will you take on at AT?
I am starting at AT as a working student in the area of key account management.
How did you become aware of AT?
Through personal recommendation. When I first heard about AT, I was already very impressed and have followed the company ever since. I am all the more pleased to be a part of AT now.
Why did you choose AT?
I find the topic of AI and data science extremely exciting. So AT was almost the logical choice. ? Joking aside, at AT I get the opportunity to get involved and work on an exciting project. I really wanted to take advantage of this opportunity.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I am most looking forward to learning a lot about the topic of AI and data science and to getting involved in exciting projects in this area.
What did you do before?
Before joining AT, I worked in professional football in video analysis. I am still studying Business Management in Munich.
Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in Dachau, in the north of Munich. My family is originally from Austria.
What do you do in your spare time?
I have been coaching a junior football team for 4 years now. I have also recently discovered my passion for tennis. However, the net is still a big hurdle for me.
What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?
The most beautiful destination I have ever visited was Hawaii. It simply doesn't get any better than that. I would love to visit Alaska, as a stark contrast, so to speak.
What was your dream job as a child?
Pilot.
