In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today it's Katharina Brandl's turn. She is starting with us as a student trainee in HR - in the interview she tells us what drove her to do this, what her background is and how she likes to spend her life outside of work.
What position will you take on at [at]?
I get to support HR as a working student.
How did you find out about [at]?
I discovered the job posting on LinkedIn, which immediately appealed to me.
Why did you choose [at]?
[at] is an innovative company with a focus on the future. I also really like the corporate culture, and I was particularly impressed by the musketeer principle that [at] embodies.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I am looking forward to getting to know all areas of HR and of course to working with my new colleagues.
What did you do before?
I am currently studying economics at the University of Innsbruck. Before that, I was able to gain experience at the tax office and at a tax consultancy through internships.
Where were you born and raised?
I was born and grew up at the beautiful Schliersee.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my free time I like to be in the mountains. Skiing, hiking, cycling but also tennis are among my favourite hobbies.
What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?
I particularly enjoyed Australia and New Zealand. In the next few years, I would like to discover Japan, Sri Lanka and Canada.
What was your dream job as a child?
I wanted to be a teacher for a long time.
What are your three most important work utensils?
A second screen, a Bluetooth mouse and Post-It's
What used to be your favourite subject at school?
Accounting
What would you get up for in the middle of the night?
For a beautiful sunrise on the mountain or a trip.
What do you always carry in your pocket?
Lip care, chewing gum and a mask due to the current situation.
