(Senior) Kubernetes Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for you to start immediately at one of our locations in Munich, Berlin, Leipzig, Frankfurt a.M., Cologne or Stuttgart. 

Your tasks

We are taking on a unique challenge together with industry and research: building an MLOps platform that needs to scale across thousands of nodes and cover the entire ML lifecycle. For this, we are looking for a new colleague who wants to join our engineering team and is self-determined and committed to what we are building. Your new challenges will be the following:  

  • Overarching system development and testing (with a focus on infrastructure) 
  • You participate in design discussions and challenges 
  • You are responsible for the continuous simplification and improvement of the code base
  • You develop CI/CD pipelines and artifacts
  • You improve and set up new tools 
  • You document the code base

Your profile

Data is also in your DNA? That's what you should bring with you: 

  • Several years of experience in Development for Kubernetes with a focus on infrastructure (Cloud and/or Bare Metal Integration
  • Good knowledge in the development of a Kubernetes API Extension (CRDs with custom controllers) 
  • You are familiar with the development of Infrastructure as Code off (Terraform, Helmet, Kustomize) 
  • You are a good programmer and know how to create production-ready Software in Go delivers - Python and/or other languages are a plus
  • You have good knowledge of web protocols and layer 7 data exchange formats
  • Strong interest in testing and debugging 
  • You take responsibility and show passion for open source ecosystems 

The icing on the cake: 

  • Experience in working with service meshes (Istio) and gqlgen  
  • Experience with kubebuilder and the Golang-packeges controller-runtime and client-go 
  • Knowledge of security best practices and common authentication and authorisation protocols 
  • Track record in ML / MLOps
