Large language models (LLMs) are fascinating AI systems that have the ability to understand and generate natural language. After an initial hype phase in which the possibilities of LLMs were exploratively tested, they are now being used in applications such as text generation, translation, classification, summarisation and many other areas. Their performance is characterised by remarkable quality, creativity and versatility when it comes to tackling a wide variety of tasks. But what exactly does "remarkable quality" mean and how can the performance of LLMs be assessed and high product quality guaranteed?
Our [at] experts address this question Luca Maria Trautmann and Constantin Sanders to the bottom. In our upcoming webinar, we will compare conventional evaluation methods for machine learning algorithms with those for LLMs. Given the variety of tasks, new requirements for the evaluation of LLMs arise, among other things. A central question is what exactly should be evaluated. For example, should the input prompt, the output or even the internal representation of the texts that can be used for RAG systems be evaluated?
If you are interested in finding answers to these and other questions, we cordially invite you to attend our free webinar on 19 March at 2 pm to participate. We look forward to having interesting discussions with you after the presentation!
