In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today it's Hans Rauer's turn. Hans starts with us as a Junior Data Engineer - in the interview he tells us what drove him to it, what his background is and how he likes to spend his life outside of work.

About your way to us.

What position will you take on at AT?

Hans Rauer: I start as a junior Data Engineer.

How did you become aware of AT?

Hans Rauer: Through the IKOM 2018 catalogue.

Why did you choose AT?

Hans Rauer: I was impressed by how quickly and successfully AT Data Science market for itself and to increase the distribution of AI technology in Germany to a large extent.

What are you looking forward to the most?

Hans Rauer: I'm particularly looking forward to learning from all the top people here!

What did you do before?

Hans Rauer: I'm fresh out of university (Mathematical Finance in Konstanz and Computer Science at the TU Munich).

About yourself.

Where were you born and raised?

Hans Rauer: In Emmendingen.

What do you do in your spare time?

Hans Rauer: I like doing sports - swimming, fitness and basketball in everyday life. On holiday, alpine skiing and surfing.

What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?

Hans Rauer: Into the Swiss Alps and to Hawaii.

What was your dream job as a child?

Hans Rauer: As a child, I wanted to be a Lego engineer.

What is your favourite film / series?

Hans Rauer: Fargo.

What are your three most important work utensils?

Hans Rauer: I can't do without my laptop, smartphone and headphones.

What would you get up for in the middle of the night?

Hans Rauer: For the NBA Finals.
