In our #InsideAT series we regularly present new employees. Today is Syed Usama Jamil it's his turn. He starts with us as Trainee Data Science - in the interview he tells us how he came to AT, what his background is and how he prefers to spend his life besides work.

Which position are you taking on at AT?

I start as Trainee in the field of Data Science.

How did you hear about AT come to your attention? 

From a partner website of the company.

Why did you Why did you choose AT?

I was convinced by the open and motivating working atmosphere and the company's vision.

What are you are you looking forward to the most?

I look forward to seeing the Data Science learn the trade at a leading company in this field and grow professionally and personally with the company.

What did you done before?

I recently completed my Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Neuro-Linguistic Programming. I also worked as a student trainee at Siemens. At the University of Passau, where I also studied, I worked as a student assistant.

Where were you born and raised?

In Karachi, which is in Pakistan.

What do you do in your free time?

I like watching movies, doing sports and spending time with my family and friends.

What was your your dream job as a child?

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a superhero. 😊

What is your favourite film?

Definitely Sherlock Holmes. I've always had a soft spot for mystical and fictional things.

Which book did you read last?

Deep Learning with Python 😉

What has been your favourite travel destination so far and where would you definitely like to go?

I was particularly impressed by the Maldives and Switzerland.

What could you definitely not do without in your travel suitcase?

Laptop.

What used to be your favourite subject at school?

I always liked mathematics.
